Question: Can I install LVP over existing flooring?

Yes, but your current floor has to be as close to subfloor perfection as possible and you do not want to float over another floating floor. The Best floor to go over is a glue down linoleum/Vinyl sheet material. As long as this material is smooth, not bumps or ridges, and without tears then you should be fine to go overtop. Hardwood floors generally have too much movement and you shouldn’t go overtop, floating floors have Far Far too much movement and should not be stacked.
